Theme: Play
Where: Display in the shop windows of Algorta’s shops
In collaboration with the Algortako Dendak Association
This space for popular participation in Getxophoto is an open format for all those who want to participate in the Festival by submitting a single photo on the proposed theme: Play. The result is a diverse and enriching mix of styles and genres.
We have received more than 185 photographs from all over the world such as Argentina, Germany, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Egypt, USA, France, Hong Kong, India, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Thailand or Yemen, among others.
38 images have been selected by the organization and Eukene Olague and Gorka Garate, two invited guests, to be exhibited in some Algortako Dendak partner shops. Additionally, a guide will be published with information on the winning photographs and the shop windows where they will be displayed throughout the month of June.
Furthermore, Aceptamos pulpo by Dora Diez has been selected as the best photograph by an author from Getxo, and the Algortako Dendak association has awarded her with a prize of €100 to be spent in the participating shops.
