MEETING OF PHOTOGRAPHY SCHOOL STUDENTS

MAPS

Date: Thursday 29, Friday 30 of May and Sunday 1 of June

MAPS (; Best Friends Forever;) is a meeting of photography school students, a gathering of emerging visual artists, a space in which to get to know each other, share their work and weave networks of collaboration and exchange.

During the week of the meeting, which took place in June 2024, some dynamics and actions were carried out, among which the exercise inspired by the One Hour Project, proposed by Christine Shank and which forms part of the book The Photographer’s Playbook, can be visited here.

As part of the programme, one of the participants’ works is chosen to form part of the 2025 edition. On this occasion, the curatorial team of the Festival has decided to highlight the following shortlist:

And it has selected Shelter, by Anna Barea, a student of the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya (IEFC) to be part of the next edition of Getxophoto.
